ERPC Upgrades Solana Tokyo Region Shared Shredstream with the World’s Fastest Clock Servers. Zero-Distance Connectivity in the Same Data Center as Major Validators and Block Engine

ELSOUL LABO B.V. (Headquarters: Amsterdam, Netherlands, CEO: Fumitake Kawasaki) and Validators DAO, operators of ERPC, announce the upgrade of the shared Shredstream endpoint in the Tokyo region with the world’s fastest clock servers.
By deploying Shredstream in the same data center and on the same network as major validators and the Jito Block Engine, we deliver true zero-distance connectivity that never traverses the external internet.
We sincerely thank you for your continued support.
Background of the Tokyo Region Upgrade
As Solana demand accelerates across Asia, Tokyo has become a central hub thanks to its position as an international submarine cable junction and one of the world’s leading communication hubs.
With robust data centers and a well-established operational infrastructure, Tokyo offers stable, ultra-low-latency connections from Asia to the rest of the world.
Furthermore, the concentration of financial and trading systems, along with cloud platforms, has created a rich ecosystem, making Tokyo an outstanding environment for both development and production operations.
This time, by introducing the world’s fastest clock servers and permanently deploying Shredstream in the same data center and network as major validators and the Jito Block Engine, we secured the theoretically shortest data path.
Even in a shared endpoint, this design eliminates congestion and long-distance fluctuations, reducing end-to-end latency from reception to processing and delivery.
Details of the Upgrade
Tokyo’s shared Shredstream has achieved a significant leap in stability and low latency through faster processing with the new servers and shortened network paths.
The zero-distance proximity to major validator clusters and the Block Engine has been standardized, minimizing dropouts and packet loss even during peak times.
Similar upgrades have already been implemented in Frankfurt, London, New York, and Amsterdam.
By enforcing zero-distance across all major regions, ERPC now delivers globally consistent, high-quality shared Shredstream infrastructure.
Pricing and the Bundle Plan

The pricing for shared Shredstream remains unchanged, and the benefits of this upgrade are available at no additional cost.
We also offer the highly popular Bundle Plan, which combines RPC, gRPC, and Shreds into a single package, providing both cost efficiency and flexibility.

By combining Shreds and gRPC, you can maximize the strengths of both. Shreds delivers raw data before error correction, making it highly effective for the fastest possible detection of opportunities, while Geyser gRPC provides corrected, more complete information, making it optimal for accurate confirmation.
With the Bundle Plan, you can leverage both streams simultaneously, achieving the best of both worlds: fastest detection and reliable confirmation. This approach has already been adopted by many leading developers and is widely considered a recommended choice.

Why Global Quality Matters
Blockchain applications are not only about production environments — the development phase is equally critical, where iteration speed directly impacts outcomes.
Even if production is hosted in Frankfurt, using distant servers during development slows down builds, debugging, reloads, and editor operations. This not only disrupts focus but also builds stress, increases the risk of network disconnections, and delays the entire workflow.
Such conditions make it difficult to maintain development agility and inevitably slow down innovation.
To solve this, we prioritize “comfort” in day-to-day development responsiveness just as much as ultra-low latency in production. That is why we continue to establish zero-distance edge locations on every continent.
As more locations are added, our private network expands, and by linking these edges via the shortest possible routes, overall latency across the network is reduced.
This approach ensures both local optimization and global optimization, providing a unified infrastructure that supports projects consistently from development to production.
Future Expansion
We recently completed shared Shredstream upgrades in London, and our next step is to launch a new Sydney region soon. Even in regions with relatively few validators, providing high-performance local edges accelerates early-stage development and supports Solana-driven innovation globally.
Challenges ERPC Solves
- Frequent transaction failures and latency fluctuations common in general RPC environments
- Performance throttling imposed by many infrastructure providers
- The significant impact of network distance on communication quality
- Difficulty for smaller projects to access high-quality infrastructure
During the development of Epics DAO, an open-source Solana NFT card game project, we faced the challenge that a high-performance and reliable Solana development environment was not easily available. This led us to build our own platform, and based on that experience, we now provide ERPC and SLV.
Applications involving finance are especially mission-critical, where latency and errors directly affect user experience. In Solana development, where distributed validators and Web3-specific mechanisms overlap, it is difficult to grasp the full picture, and many projects have struggled with instability and delays.
By providing the high-performance infrastructure required, we aim to improve both the developer experience and the user experience across the Solana ecosystem. ERPC, along with open-source projects like SLV, is positioned as part of this broader commitment.
